May Esperas[1] is a recurring character on the FOX comedy New Girl. She is portrayed by Meaghan Rath.
Character[]
May first meets Coach repeatedly at Nick's bar crawl on Valentine's Day, 2015. They meet at the first bar when Coach introduces himself using a cheesy pick up line. Continuing to bump into each other during the night, they eventually bond when they realise that they, both being army brats, virtually trailed each other across the country for years growing up. This sparks their interest in each other and Coach attempts to woo May by crafting a good e-mail to convince her to go out with him, after Winston encourages him to pursue the relationship and not be afraid.
She later gets a position with the MET in New York and instead of breaking up, her and Coach decide to move to New York (Jersey City) together.
